Accessibility statement

SunGate Insurance Agency is committed to digital accessibility under the ADA, Section 508 and applicable Florida law, and to serving every client with the same level of care.

Our commitment

SunGate Insurance Agency is committed to making insurance accessible to every Florida resident, including people with disabilities. We work to meet or exceed the requirements of Titles II and III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the accessibility expectations that apply to businesses and insurance providers operating in the State of Florida.

This website is designed and tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA — the standard referenced by the U.S. Department of Justice and Florida state agencies as the benchmark for accessible digital content.

What we have implemented

  • Keyboard navigation for every interactive element, with a clearly visible focus indicator and a 'Skip to main content' link on each page.
  • Semantic headings, landmarks and labeled forms so screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver can navigate the site predictably.
  • Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images and decorative markup hidden from assistive technology.
  • Text and interface colors selected to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios, with text that can be resized up to 200% without loss of content.
  • A pause control on all moving content, and full support for the operating system's 'reduce motion' preference.
  • Tap targets sized for motor accessibility, and layouts that reflow on mobile devices without horizontal scrolling.

Ongoing effort

Accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a one-time project. We review new pages, blog articles and forms as they are published, and we remediate issues we discover or that are reported to us. Some legacy blog content and third-party components — such as embedded maps or carrier portals — may not be fully under our control; where a third-party tool creates a barrier, we will provide the same information or service through an accessible alternative.

Need help, or found a barrier?

If any part of this website or our services is difficult to use, we will help you directly and free of charge. A licensed member of our team can read documents aloud, complete quote or claim forms with you over the phone, provide materials in large print, or meet with you in person at our Lake Mary office.

Please include the page address, the barrier you encountered and the assistive technology you use so we can respond quickly. We aim to reply within two business days.
